The David E. Rogers Memorial Research Award: 2007 Recipients

Established in 1995, this award encourages medical residents in support of their creative investigative research in internal medicine. Senior medical residents submit research abstracts and four finalists are chosen to present their work during Medical Grand Rounds.

Sixteenth Annual Department of Medicine Investigator Award

"And the winner is..."
On Thursday June 7, 2007 in the Uris Auditorium, Dr. Ruben Niesvizky won The Department of Medicine Investigator Award for his study, “BiRD, the Only Oral Therapy That Yields Molecular Remissions in Multiple Myeloma (MM).” He is with the Division of Hematology/Medical Oncology. Sponsored by the Michael Wolk Foundation, this coveted award honors members of our department, below the rank of professor, who perform on an outstanding level in clinical and/or basic biomedical research.
