MATCH RESULTS: MEDICINE INTERNS 2010-11
This year's annual national ritual of Intern Match Day occurred on March 18, and the Department of Medicine is thrilled with the outcome. After receiving 2408 applications and interviewing 492 candidates, we filled all 36 of our Categorical and Medical Research track positions and all 4 of our Primary Care track positions with exceptional graduating medical students. In addition to their uniformly excellent academic records and leadership potential, our incoming Interns represent great diversity of ethnic and geographical backgrounds. 28 medical schools will be represented, including 4 from Weill Cornell, 3 each from Harvard and Albert Einstein, and 2 each from Case Western Reserve, Jefferson, University of Miami, UMDNJ, University of Pennsylvania, and Vanderbilt.
